It is true that our search for housing in VT is slowly grinding into a stall as the spectre of winter begins to appear on the horizon. The ironic thing about this is, its not jobs (or lack therof), credit, or anything like that that's been keeping us out.
It's the fact that we're smokers. I wonder if these same people who suddenly aren't interested in showing us their apartments because we're smokers (despite the fact that we have said on numerous times that we have no issue whatsoever with going outside to smoke) do the same thing to alcoholics or known wife beaters? I probably don't wanna think about the answer to that.
We don't even necessarily want a place that's 'smoker friendly.' We just want a place that's not smoker-hostile. Any residents up there have any ideas on where we could look?
